A CHARTER SCHOOL NETWORK PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY. IMPACT PUBLIC SCHOOLS IS PROVIDING A DIVERSE STUDENT POPULATION WITH A HIGH-QUALITY EDUCATION, AS EVIDENCED BY OUR STUDENTS' IMPRESSIVE ACADEMIC RESULTS ON THE 2021 SMARTER BALANCED ASSESSMENT, NAMELY: - PSE SCHOLARS OUTPERFORMED EVERY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN THE TUKWILA SCHOOL DISTRICT AND HIGHLINE PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS (ELA) AND MATH, INCLUDING THOSE WITH LOWER FRL PERCENTAGES. - PSE SCHOLARS OUTPERFORMED WASHINGTON STATE IN ELA AND MATH. - PSE RANKS #1 IN KING AND PIERCE COUNTY IN MATH PROFICIENCY IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS WITH OVER 50% LOW-INCOME STUDENTS. - IN OUR SCHOOLS, OVER A DOZEN LANGUAGES ARE SPOKEN. I | PSE ENGLISH LEARNERS WERE AMONG THE TOP 2% OF ENGLISH LEARNERS ACROSS WASHINGTON STATE IN BOTH ELA AND MATH. IMPACT IS ONE OF THE BEST SCHOOLS IN THE STATE FOR ENGLISH LEARNERS. - PSE'S LOW-INCOME STUDENTS WERE IN THE TOP 1% OF LOW-INCOME STUDENTS ACROSS WASHINGTON STATE FOR MATH. IMPACT IS ONE OF THE BEST SCHOOLS IN THE STATE FOR LOW-INCOME STUDENTS. - PSE IS THE HIGHEST-PERFORMING CHARTER SCHOOL IN THE STATE IN BOTH ELA AND MATH. COVID-19 HAS CREATED UNCERTAINTIES AND CHALLENGES FOR SCHOOLS AND STUDENTS. IMPACT PUBLIC SCHOOLS HAS STRIVED TO MEET THESE CHALLENGES WHILE KEEPING TO OUR MISSION. WE HAVE CONTINUED TO OFFER IMPACT AT HOME AS WELL AS IN PERSON SERVICES TO MEET THE NEEDS FOR STUDENTS AND FAMILIES. THE DISRUPTIONS OF COVID-19 HAVE HAD AN IMPACT ON OUR STUDENTS' LEARNING AND SOCIAL EMOTIONAL SKILLS. TO RESPOND TO THESE NEEDS, WE HAVE HIRED ADDITIONAL TEACHERS TO ADDRESS LEARNING LOSS AND PROVIDED TRAINING AND MATERIALS FOR SOCIAL EMOTIONAL EDUCATION. TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF OUR STUDENTS AND STAFF, WE HAVE INCREASED OUR CLEANING AND DISTANCING PROTOCOLS TO FOLLOW THE RECOMMENDED HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES. WE HAVE ALSO PROVIDED ADDITIONAL TRAINING ON HOW TO BEST MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING IN A SCHOOL SETTING. ADDITIONALLY, WE HAVE EXTENDED OUR COVID-19 RELATED SICK PAY FOR OUR EMPLOYEES TO PRIORITIZE THEIR HEALTH AND SAFETY.
