OUR NONPROFIT WAS FOUNDED IN SEPTEMBER 2016. THE CYBER INSTITUTE IS A NONPROFIT AND AN INTERNATIONAL NGO THAT WORKS TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF WOMEN AND MINORITIES; YOUTH IN PARTICULAR. WE WORK TO REDUCE BARRIERS INTO CYBERSECURITY AND STEM-RELATED CAREERS BY DEVELOPING TRADITIONAL AND NON-TRADITIONAL PATHWAYS. BY INCREASING ACCESS TO EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT, AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT, WE BELIEVE THEY WILL HAVE GREATER OPPORTUNITIES FOR SELF-DETERMINATION AND SELF-RELIANCE. THE CYBER INSTITUTE FOCUSES ON AT-RISK COMMUNITIES SEEKS TO RAISE AWARENESS AND EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON CYBERSECURITY ISSUES. THROUGHOUT 2018, THE NONPROFIT CONTINUED TO CONCENTRATE ON STRENGTHENING EXISTING PARTNERSHIPS WITH NATO, EU, AND UNESCO. THE NONPROFIT ALSO SECURED ADDITIONAL PARTNERSHIPS WITH THE NATIONAL CYBERWATCH CENTER, THE NATIONAL CYBER LEAUGE, THE SPACE FOUNDATION, NEW YORK UNIVERSITY, COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY, FORT LEWIS COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA, UNIVERSITY OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS, VIRGIN ISLANDS DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION STEM DIRECTORATES, UKRAINE NATIONAL UNIVERSITY, BLEKINGE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY SWEDEN, AND PORTUGUESE MILITARY ACADEMY LISBON. THESE PARTNERSHIPS ARE VITAL TO THE CYBER INSTITUTE BECAUSE THEY PROVIDE US A WAY TO IMPLEMENT SUCCESSFUL INTERNATIONAL CYBER STRATEGIES INTO OUR LOCAL COMMUNITIES AS WELL AS PROVIDE US NECESSARY RESOURCES TO DO IMPORTANT RESEARCH. FROM THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION TO OUR 2017 STRATEGIC PARTNER PUSH TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF OUR 2018 STRATEGIC PLAN, WE ARE COMMITTED OUR TIME TO BUILD A STRONG FOUNDATION THROUGH OUR INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS IN ORDER TO HAVE A FULFILLING AND SUCCESSFUL FUTURE IN OUR COMMUNITY OF SOUTHERN COLORADO AND THEN THE NATION.
