TO CREATE A VILLAGE WITHIN THE CITY OF HIGHLAND PARK, MICHIGAN THAT WILL CONVERT VACANT, BLIGHTED LAND INTO VALUABLE URBAN RESOURCES TO PROVIDE BASIC LIVING COMPONENTS FOR A QUALITY, COMFORTABLE, AND PROSPEROUS LIFE AS WELL AS PROVIDE BASIC SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY.

HOMEWORK HOUSE: THE HOMEWORK HOUSE IS AN EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT CENTER FOR THE CHILDREN OF HIGHLAND PARK, MI AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES. IT SERVES YOUTH IN GRADES K-12 AND OTHER YOUNG ADULTS BY PROVIDING ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES THAT ENHANCE LEARNING AND ASSIST THOSE WHO ARE AT RISK OF ACADEMIC FAILURE AND DROPPING OUT OF SCHOOL. THROUGH FREE TUTORING AND HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE, IMPROVING LITERACY SKILLS AND ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS, STUDENTS WILL BE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO THRIVE IN THIS WORLD. THE HOMEWORK HOUSE WILL PROVIDE A CLEAN, SAFE PLACE FILLED WITH LOVE AND CARE; A COMFORTABLE ENVIRONMENT TO CREATE, CULTIVATE AND GROW ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE. FEATURES OF THE HOMEWORK HOUSE INCLUDE: COMPUTER LAB; MICRO-LIBRARY; AQUAPONICS SYSTEM; STEM LAB AUDIO/VISUAL PRODUCTION STUDIO; STUDY SPACE; GREEN KITCHEN & PANTRY; GREYWATER RECYCLING SYSTEM; AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITY COURTS.
