BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS MAKES MEANINGFUL, MENTORSHIP MATCHES BETWEEN VOLUNTEER "BIGS AND CHILDREN "LITTLES" AGES 6-18. THE ORGANIZATION THEN PROVIDES THE NECESSARY TRAINING, RESOURCES AND SUPPORT NECESSARY FOR THOSE MATCHES TO SUCCEED. THE ORGANIZATION SERVES WICOMICO, WORCESTER, SOMERSET, DORCHESTER, CAROLINE, CECIL, TALBOT, QUEEN ANNE'S AND KENT COUNTIES. BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF THE EASTERN SHORE HAS SERVED OVER 500 CHILDREN THROUGH 4,300 VOLUNTEER HOURS, AND DISTRIBUTED OVER 6,000 RESOURCES RESULTING IN IMPROVED SELF-CONFIDENCE, SENSE OF FUTURE AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE.
