COOPERATIVE FOR A BETTER WORLD IS WHOLLY DEDICATED TO EDUCATING AND SUPPORTING THE NEXT GENERATION OF COOPERATIVE BUSINESSES. WE DO THIS BY (1) GROWING THE ENTREPRENEUR PIPELINE AND STRENGTHEN THE COOPERATIVE ECOSYSTEM; (2) EQUIPPING COOPERATIVE ENTREPRENEURS WITH THE SKILLS AND TOOLS FOR SUCCESS; AND (3) CONNECTING COOPERATIVE BUSINESSES WITH THE CAPITAL THEY NEED TO THRIVE.

WE DESIGNED AND LAUNCHED LEAN CO-OP, A FREE ONLINE COURSE, WITH 600+ SIGN UPS IN THE FIRST 9 MONTHS; WE GRADUATED OUR 3RD ACCELERATOR COHORT, COMPRISED OF 7 STARTUPS, ALL WITH WOMEN AND/OR BIPOC FOUNDERS; WE ALSO HOSTED NEXT GEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP, A ONE-DAY CELEBRATION OF COOPERATIVE ENTREPRENEURSHIP THAT FEATURED 300+ ATTENDEES AND 30+ SPEAKERS. WE RECEIVED 102 APPLICATIONS FOR OUR 2022 ACCELERATOR, A 46% INCREASE OVER 2020/2021 APPLICATIONS NUMBERS; WE CONDUCTED OVER 120 HOURS OF COACHING CALLS WITH ENTREPRENEURS.
WE SIGNED AN AGREEMENT WITH THE AARP FOUNDATION FOR 3-YEAR COLLABORATIVE INITIATIVE TO INCREASE COOPERATIVE ENTREPRENEURSHIP AMONG LOW-INCOME OLDER ADULTS AND COMPLETED PHASE 1 OF THIS PROJECT.
