TO RAISE FUNDS NATION-WIDE TO PROVIDE LOW INCOME AND MINORITY STUDENTS WITH FREE TUTORIAL INTERVENTION USING STRUCTURED LANGUAGE INSTRUCTION METHODS.

THE BOON DONOR-FUNDED SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM PROVIDES FUNDING TO TRAIN TEACHERS IN STRUCTURED LANGUAGE INSTRUCTION METHODS BASED ON THE SCIENCE OF READING. BOON'S TRAINING PARTNERS (SCHOLARSHIP PROVIDERS) ARE OGA (ORTON GILLINGHAM ACADEMY); IMSLEC (INTERNATIONAL MULTISENSORY STRUCTURED LANGUAGE EDUCATION COUNCIL);WILSON LANGUAGE TRAINING NONPROFIT PARTNERS, DISTRIBUTED BY DREXEL UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF EDUCATION; STERN CENTER FOR LANGUAGE AND LEARNING; THE SLINGERLAND INSTITUTE FOR LITERACY: TOP TEN TOOLS; THE READING LEAGUE; KEYS TO LITERACY; READING SIMPLIFIED ACADEMY; AND THE WRITING REVOLUTION. SINCE THIS PROGRAM'S INCEPTION, OVER 750 TEACHERS HAVE RECEIVED FREE OR REDUCED-PRICE TRAINING.
PLEDGE LITERACY INTERVENTIONS EXCLUSIVELY EMPLOYS WILSON LEVEL I AND II CERTIFIED READING EXPERTS TO PROVIDE 40 HOURS OF FREE PERSONALIZED READING INTERVENTION SERVICES TO LOW-INCOME AND HISTORICALLY MARGINALIZED STUDENTS FAILING TO READ AT GREADE LEVEL. ALL 68 STUDENTS WHO HVE RECEIVED THIS SERVICE HAVE IMPROVED THEIR READING PERFORMANCE BY AT LEAST ONE GRADE LEVEL.
