HOSTED THE ANNUAL DONALD W. MCCARTHY HEARTLAND LEADERSHIP FORUM IN MAY. THE PURPOSE OF THE HEARTLAND LEADERSHIP FORUM IS TO BRING A TOP-LEVEL LEADER (VIRTUALLY OR IN-PERSON) TO THE TWIN CITIES TO ADDRESS OUR COMMUNITY'S BUSINESS, ACADEMIC, AND POLITICAL LEADERS, AS WELL AS FUTURE NAVAL ACADEMY MIDSHIPMEN. OUR BELIEF IS THAT BY INFORMING OUR LEADERS ABOUT ISSUES OF NATIONAL IMPORTANCE, THESE LEADERS WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE BETTER STRATEGIC DECISIONS FOR THEIR COMPANIES, IN THE ACADEMIC WORLD, AND REGARDING PUBLIC POLICY DECISIONS. EACH YEAR WE FOCUS ON A DIFFERENT TOPIC, WITH THE 2022 EVENT FOCUSED ON CYBER SECURITY THREATS AND MITIGATION.
