THE IDAHO REGIONAL FRC ROBOTICS COMPETITION INCLUDES TEAMS FROM MANY WESTERN STATES AND OTHER COUNTRIES INCLUDING CANADA AND CHINA.
THE FRC ROOKIE PROGRAM IS USED TO SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT COSTS OF NEW IDAHO TEAMS IN THE FRC PROGRAM. THIS IS A PROGRAM TO SUPPORT THE INITIAL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH A NEW TEAM. DONATIONS ARE RESTRICTED AND ONLY USED TO PASS ON TO THE TEAMS. ALL EXPENSES (NOT GRANTS) ARE FUNDED FROM GENERAL FRC UNRESTRICTED FUNDS.
THE FTC/FLL PROGRAMS INCLUDES COMPETITION FOR FIRST TECH CHALLENGE AND FIRST LEGO LEAGUE PROGRAMS AND INCLUDES TEMAS FROM MANY WESTERN STATES. FTC (FIRST TECH CHALLENGE) IS A FIRST ROBOTICS PROGRAM FOR 7TH-12 GRADERS (AGES 12-18). GENERALLY RUN THE SAME AS FRC BUT AT A MUCH REDUCED SCALE. FLL (FIRST LEGO LEAGUE) IS A FIRST ROBOTICS PROGRAM FOR K-8TH GRADE (AGES 6-12). IT IS GENERALLY RUN THE SAME AS THE OTHER PROGRAMS BUT USES LEGO KITS, THUS AT A MUCH SIMPLER AND SMALLER SCALE.
