CIVIC ENGAGEMENT: PARTICIPATING IN THE DEMOCRATIC PROCESS AT THE SCHOOL DISTRICT, LOCAL, STATE & FEDERAL LEVELS ON BEHALF OF MUSLIM WOMEN TO ALLOW THEM HAVE A SEAT AND THE TABLE AND HAVE THEIR VOICES HEARD ON THE ISSUES THAT MATTER TO THEM. WE PROVIDE TRAINING AT SCHOOLS, MOSQUES, COMMUNITY CENTERS AND ONLINE. ABOUT 25,000 PEOPLE BENEFITED FORM FROM THIS PROGRAM THROUGH OUR ONLINE TRAININGS AND IN PERSON PROGRAMMING.
STORYTELLING: CURATING AND AMPLIFYING POWERFUL STORIES OF MUSLIM WOMEN AS AGENTS OF CHANGE. WE ARE RECLAIMING THE MUSLIM WOMANS NARRATIVE. THROUGH THE MUSLIM SHEROES OF MINNESOTA, WE ARE CHALLENGING THE ONE-DIMENSIONAL & STEREOTYPICAL PORTRAYALS AND OFFERING ALTERNATIVE PERSPECTIVES ABOUT MUSLIM WOMEN AS COMMUNITY MEMBERS, CITIZENS AND CHANGE-MAKERS.
