THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS AND PROVIDES WORK AS SESSION PLAYERS FOR MANY UNDER-THE- RADAR AND UNKNOWN ARTISTS IN ORDER TO GIVE THEM A LEG UP IN ADVANCING THEIR CAREERS. THIS IS DONE IN PART BY PROVIDING STUDIO SPACE AND LODGING EITHER FREE OF CHARGE OR AT REDUCED RENT.EXPENSES INCLUDE DEPRECIATION OF 234,066


CONTINUING WITH THE RESTORATION AND SCORING OF SEVERAL MARY PICKFORD FILMS AND THE SCREENING OF THOSE FILMS FOR VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS (INCLUDING AS WELL AS 303,000 PAID TO MARY PICKFORD COMPANY AS PRODUCTION ADVANCES FOR WORK ON SUCH RESTORED FILMS AND BIOGRAPHS THAT WERE CAPITALIZED).


THE ARTS CONSORTIUM LA IS THE CREATION OF THE MARY PICKFORD FOUNDATION. THE CONSORTIUM HELPS FORGE SOCIAL CHANGE AND GROWTH IN LOS ANGELES BY UTILIZING THE ARTISTIC PROCESS. ESTABLISHING RELATIONSHIPS AND WORKING WITH ARCHIVES AROUND THE WORLD INCLUDING THE EXAMINATION OF MARY PICKFORD PRIVATE FOUNDATION'S FILM HOLDINGS WORLDWIDE AND CREATION OF A SEARCHABLE SPREADSHEET.IN ADDITION TO THE ITEMS LISTED IN PART IX-A (SUMMARY OF DIRECT CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES), THE FOUNDATION MAINTAINS A WEBSITE CLEARING HOUSE FOR ARCHIVAL INSTITUTIONS AND LIBRARIES RESEARCH REGARDING MARY PICKFORD AND SILENT FILM. $11,506 OF DIRECT AND INDIRECT EXPENSES WERE INCURRED.
