THE FACILITY PROVIDES HOUSING FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH AB109 AND LOW LEVEL 290S, INDIVIDUALS RECEIVING SSI, AND INDIVIDUALS WITH THE ABILITY TO SELF PAY. ALL RESIDENTS LIVE IN FURNISHED DOUBLE-OCCUPANCY ROOMS AND RECEIVE THREE MEALS A DAY WITH SNACKS. THE RESIDENTS ARE PROVIDED UTILITIES, BASIC CABLE, WIFI, PHONE, LAUNDRY FACILITIES, CLEAN LINENS, AND LIMITED TRANSPORTATION. BRENDA JEAN'S SOBER LIVING FACILITY SERVED A TOTAL OF 293 RESIDENTS OR 74 UNIQUE RESIDENTS WITHOUT DUPLICATING THE SAME RESIDENT IN 2020. OF WHICH, 81% WERE MENTAL HEALTH RESIDENTS AND 19 PERCENT WERE PROBATION RESIDENTS. THE AVERAGE LENGTH OF STAY WAS 4.18 MONTHS. IN 2021 BRENDA JEAN'S SOBER LIVING FACILITY AVERAGED 24 RESIDENTS EACH MONTH.
BRENDA JEAN'S SOBER LIVING FACILITY PURCHASES FOOD TO DISTRIBUTE TO THE HOMELESS AND TO FAMILIES IN NEED. INDIVIDUALS CAN CALL 211 AND RECEIVE INFORMATION ON WHEN WE ARE DISTRIBUTING FREE GROCERIES. THE EMERGENCY GROCERY BAGS ARE DESIGNED TO GET AN INDIVIDUAL OR A FAMILY THROUGH THE WEEK. EVERY WEEK, THE INDIVIDUAL OR FAMILY CAN RETURN FOR ANOTHER EMERGENCY BAG OF GROCERIES. BRENDA JEAN'S FOOD PANTRY MISSION IS TO PROVIDE FREE FOOD TO ANYONE IN NEED. WE ARE STRONGLY AGAINST THE SELLING OF FOOD THAT WE FREELY DISTRIBUTE. WE WILL REPORT ANY INDIVIDUAL OR FAMILY WHO VIOLATES THIS RULE. BRENDA JEAN'S SOBER LIVING FACILITY PURCHASES FOOD THAT IS THEN COOKED BY SAFE FOOD SERVE CERTIFIED KITCHEN STAFF FOR THE HOMELESS AND TO FAMILIES IN NEED.
