WORKING CLOSELY WITH A COALITION OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE AGENCIES AS WELL AS A NETWORK OF GREENSPACE AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT EXPERTS, LANDFORCE RECRUITS, TRAINS, EDUCATES, EMPLOYS AND SUPPORTS PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN SYSTEMICALLY DISADVANTAGED IN AND AROUND PITTSBURGH, PA, INCLUDING THOSE WHO ARE FORMERLY INCARCERATED, HAVE MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES, ARE STRUGGLING WITH ADDICTION, OR ARE BEING EXCLUDED FROM FAMILY SUSTAINING EMPLOYMENT.IN 2021, WE PROVIDED 390 HOURS OF COACHING, 2,500 TRAINING HOURS, AND OVER 7,200 HOURS OF LAND STEWARDSHIP. 16 PEOPLE ENTERED OUR TRAINING PROGRAM. 12 COMPLETED THE TRAINING, OF WHOM WE HIRED 10 AS FULL CREW MEMBERS. OF THE 10 WE HIRED, 7 COMPLETED THEIR TENURE WITH US, AND 6 REMAIN EMPLOYED IN THEIR SUBSEQUEST JOBS. 100% OF OUR CREW MEMBERS SURVEYED STATED THAT THEIR LANDFORCE EXPERIENCE CONTRIBUTED TO FUTURE JOB SUCCESS.
