THROUGHOUT 2021, THE PARTICIPANTS AND SUPPORTERS OF ARTZ PHILADELPHIA'S OPERATIONS CONTINUED TO BE THE MOST ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY THE COVID PANDEMIC. THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUED ITS SUSPENSION OF IN-PERSON PROGRAMS THROUGH TO THE END OF 2021 IN CONSIDERATION OF THE HEALTH AND WELFARE OF PARTICIPANTS AND STAFF. VIRTUALLY ALL PROGRAMS CONTINUED ONLINE ONLY.ARTZ LOST 50% OF ITS TOTAL FEE-BASED PROGRAMS DURING THE FIRST MONTHSOF THE PANDEMIC AND 100% OF ITS PROGRAMS DELIVERED TO RESIDENTS IN 12 CCRCS, SENIOR CENTERS AND DAY CENTERS. THESE FEE-FOR-SERVICE PROGRAMS REMAINED SUSPENDED IN 2021. HOWEVER, A NEW FEE-FOR-SERVICE PROGRAM CREATED FOR THE DEMENTIA SOCIETY OF AMERICA (DSA) ENABLED ARTZ PHILADELPHIA TO REACH A NATIONAL AUDIENCE THROUGH ONLINE PROGRAMS AND FOR THE FIRST TIME TO CREATE A SERIES OF "EVERGREEN" VIDEOS AVAILABLE TO PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS ON THE YOUTUBE CHANNELS OF DSA AND ARTZ.NEW ONLINE PROGRAMS LAUNCHED IN 2020 CONTINUED THROUGHOUT 2021, AND IN JULY OF 2021, THE ORGANIZATION LAUNCHED A NEW LIVE MUSIC PROGRAM IN THE HISTORICALLY UNDERSERVED NEIGHBORHOODS OF NORTH PHILADELPHIA. MUSIC IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD CONTINUED LIVE AND IN-PERSON UNTIL IT WAS TOO COLD TO HOST IT OUTSIDE AND AT THAT POINT THE PROGRAM WENT ONLINE FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR.
