SPORTS ENRICHMENT FOR DISADVANTAGED YOUTH: BROTHERBIRD HELD ITS ANNUAL TEMPLE GRANDIN SKI DAY, IT ALSO CONTINUED ITS DREAM BUILDERS PROGRAM IN WHICH ATHLETES TEACH YOUNG PEOPLE ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF NUTRITION, MENTAL HEALTH AND THE HARD WORK NEEDED TO REALIZE THEIR DREAMS.
ADOPTAPOLOOZA: A WEEKEND LONG EVENT HELD IN PARTNERSHIP WITH VARIOUS ANIMAL CARE ORGANIZATIONS INTENDED TO PROMOTE ADOPTION AND CARE OF CATS AND DOGS. YOUTH ARE TAUGHT RESPONSIBILITY THROUGH LEARNING HOW TO PROPERLY FEED, EXERCISE AND CARE FOR THEIR PETS IN A RESPONSIBLE MANNER.
PROGRAM PLANNING: CONTINUED TO GROW OUR NETWORK AMONG LIKE MINDED ORGANIZATIONS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY AND WORKING ON INTRODUCING NEW PROGRAMS THAT WILL SERVE THOSE YOUTH MOST AT RISK AND PROVIDE THEM WITH TOOLS TO HELP THEM OVERCOME THE DAILY CHALLENGES THEY FACE.
