PROJECT INCLUDES PAVED CONNECTING TRAILS, A PEDESTRIAN/BIKE BRIDGE OVER THE MAQUOKETA RIVER, ENHANCED STORMWATER MANAGEMENT AT HURSTVILLE, IMPROVED ACCESS FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES, SHELTERS AND SIGNAGE AT MAQUOKETA CAVES STATE PARK.
CROSSING THE WAPSI-CONSTRUCTION OF A ONE MILE TRAIL CONNECTING HISTORIC HALE BRIDGE TO ANAMOSA, AN OPEN AIR SHELTER AND BATHROOM AT HALE BRIDGE, AND OXFORD JUNCTION WILDLIFE AREA EXPANSION.
MAQUOKETA RIVER ON THE MOVE-ALL THREE COUNTIES OF THE REGION LINK VIA THE EXTENSIVE WATER TRAIL ON THE MAQUOKETA RIVER. WORK ON THIS PROJECT INCLUDES BARRIER REMOVAL, IMPROVED ACCESS, SUPPORT FOR OUTFITTERS, ADDITIONAL WAY-FINDING AND ENHANCEMENTS AT DESTINATIONS ALONG THE WAY.
