PROJECT HELPING HANDS IS DEDICATED TO FACILITATING CULTURALLY SENSITIVE GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES FOR VOLUNTEERS TO PROVIDE HEALTH AND MEDICAL INTERVENTION PROGRAMS FOR THOSE LACKING ACCESS, TO DEVELOP SUSTAINABLE,LOCALLY-RUN HEALTH PROMOTION AND PREVENTION PROGRAMS, AND TO ASSIST WITH THE BASIC LIFE NEEDS OF THE LESS FORTUNATE IN DEVELOPING NATIONS

PROJECT HELPING HANDS IS A NONSECTARIAN ORGANIZATION THAT SENDS TEAMS OF VOLUNTEERS ON MISSIONS TO DEVELOPING NATIONS TO PROVIDE BASIC MEDICAL CARE AND HEALTH CARE EDUCATION. THEY HAVE BEEN HELPING PEOPLE IN DEVELOPING NATIONS SINCE 1994. THE KEY TO OUR TEAMS' SUCCESS IS THE COMMITMENT THEY BRING TO IMPACT PEOPLE IN A LIFE-CHANGING, EVEN LIFE-SAVING, WAY BEYOND PROVIDING BASIC PREVENTIVE CARE AND TREATING ILLNESS, DISEASE, AND TRAUMA. THE TEAMS HELP BUILD MEDICAL SERVICES IN REMOTE AREAS WITH THE GOAL OF SEEING THEM BECOME SELF-SUFFICIENT AND ABLE TO REPLICATE THESE EFFORTS IN OTHER PLACES OF NEED. VOLUNTEERS HAVE TREATED MORE THAN 50,000 PATIENTS, PERFORMED MORE THAN 60 SURGICAL PROCEDURES, PULLED MORE THAN 30,000 TEETH, AND FLUORIDATED ANOTHER 10,000, DISTRIBUTED MORE THAN 8,000 PAIRS OF GLASSES, COLLECTED & DISTRIBUTED MEDICAL & PHARMACEUTICAL SUPPLIES TOTALING MORE THAN $2.2 BILLION.
