THE ORGANIZATION SERVES APPROXIMATELY 315 PARTICIPANTS IN ITS REGIONAL COMPETITIVE PROGRAM FOR YOUTH AGES 11-18. THE OBJECTIVE IS TO TEACH SOCCER TECHNIQUES & TACTICS FROM TOP LEVEL COACHING STAFF, AND TO PROMOTE TEAMWORK & GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP.
THE ASSOCIATION OFFERS COACHING CLINICS AND COACH LICENSING CLINICS. A WEBSITE IS MAINTAINED TO PROVIDE LEARNING MATERIALS, TO FACILITATE COMMUNICATION, AND TO POST SCHEDULES.
APPROXIMATELY 475-500 CHILDREN ARE SERVED EACH SEASON (SPRING & FALL) IN THE MICRO STRIKERS PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN OF AGES 5-12. THIS PROGRAM EMPHASIZES TEACHING BASIC SKILLS AT AGE APPROPRIATE LEVELS AND EMPHASIZES BEING ACTIVE AND HAVING FUN WHILE LEARNING ABOUT SOCCER.
