THE MONTANA TENNIS ASSOCIATION (MTA) PROMOTES AND DEVELOPS ADULT AND JUNIOR TENNIS COMPETITIONS THROUGH STATEWIDE TENNIS TRAINING PROGRAMS, EDUCATIONAL/SKILL WORKSHOPS, THE DEVELOPMENT OF LEAGUE PLAY, SUPPORTS COMMUNITY PROGRAMS, FORMS & GROWS COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS AND MULTIPLE SANCTIONED TOURNAMENTS.IN 2023, MTA WORKED WITH 100 CHILDREN UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE STATEWIDE USING "TENNIS IS ELEMENTARY" PROGRAMMING IN SCHOOLS. APPROXIMATELY 30-40 OF THOSE CHILDREN WERE SEEN IN FLAGSHIP PROGRAMS. MTA PROVIDED GRANT FUNDING FOR A NEW TENNIS PROGRAM CALLED LOVED SERVING AUTISM IN WHICH APPROXIMATELY 25 CHILDREN WERE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN TENNIS CLINICS WITH APPROPRIATE INSTRUCTION & EQUIPMENT. THIS PROGRAM EXPANDED INTO THE BILLINGS AREA, SO THAT NOW THERE ARE 2 PROGRAMS TO SERVE MONTANA. THE MTA ALSO SERVED APPROXIMATELY 1,000 INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS, (JUNIORS AND ADULTS) WHO PARTICIPATED IN TOURNAMENTS AND LEAGUES STATEWIDE.
