YES OF PEND OREILLE COUNTY (YOUTH EMERGENCY SERVICES) PROVIDES INTENSIVE CASE MANAGEMENT TO HOMELESS AND AT-RISK YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS, AGES 12 TO 24. YOUNG PEOPLE RECEIVE PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT IN NAVIGATING ALL THE NECESSARY STEPS TOWARD LIVING IN A SAFE AND PERMANENT HOME, CONTINUING WITH SCHOOL, RECEIVING MEDICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH CARE AND TO HAVE ADEQUATE FOOD AND CLOTHING. YES HAS A DROP-IN CENTER IN NEWPORT, WA WHERE KIDS CAN SHOWER, WASH CLOTHES, RECREATE WITH OTHER YOUNG PEOPLE, MEET WITH ADVOCATES AND LEARN LIFE SKILLS.
