MARINE CORPS BIRTHDAY BALL - ALL MEMBERS OF HMLAT-303 PARTICIPATE IN CELEBRATING THE BIRTHDAY OF THE MARINE CORPS AND THE ASSOCIATED TRADITIONS. THE ASSOCIATION ASSISTS IN PAYING FOR THE BALL AND SUPPLYING TICKETS TO THE ENLISTED MARINES OF THE SQUADRON. ALONG WITH REDUCING TICKET COSTS FOR THE OTHER ACTIVE DUTY MEMBERS OF THE SQUADRON, THE ASSOCIATION PURCHASES GIFTS FOR THE ATTENDING ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY PERSONNEL. THE BIRTHDAY BALL IS HOSTED BY HMLAT-303 AROUND NOVEMBER 10TH EVERY YEAR NORMALLY AT A HOTEL WITHIN THE LOCAL AREA. THE BALL WAS A VERY SCALED DOWN VERSION HOSTED AT THE SQUADRON IN 2021 DUE TO COVID19.
HAIL AND BAIL - GATHERINGS WITH THE ACTIVE DUTY OFFICERS IN THE SQUADRON TO WELCOME THOSE ARRIVING AT HMLAT-303 AND THANK THOSE LEAVING. HAIL AND BAIL'S ARE HELD EVERY OTHER MONTH, OR AS NECESSARY DEPENDING ON THE ARRIVALS/TRANSFERS FOR THE ACTIVE DUTY OFFICERS AT HMLAT-303. THE ACTIVITY IS HOSTED BY THE HUMAN AFFAIRS DIVISION AT HMLAT-303 AND PAID FOR BY THE ASSOCIATION.
UNIT FUNCTIONS - GATHERING OF ALL ASSOCIATION MEMBERS TO BUILD MORAL AND SUPPORT ESPRIT DE CORPS HOSTED BY THE COMMANDING OFFICER. EXAMPLES OF UNIT FUNCTIONS INCLUDE THE SQUADRON HOLIDAY PARTY, FAMILY DAY, BEACH PARTY AND VARIOUS MESS NIGHTS.
