THE YEAR 2021 HAD A VERY ROUGH START FOR THE BROTHERHOOD OF ST. HUBERTUS. BOTH THE WILD SHEEP SHOW AND SAFARI CLUB INTERNATIONAL SHOW WERE CANCELLED IN RENO DUE TO COVID-19 SO OUR TRADITIONAL LUNCHES DURING THESE EVENTS DID NOT TAKE PLACE. WE WERE ABLE TO HOLD THE BRASSFIELD TURKEY HUNT IN CLEARLAKE OAKS, CA IN APRIL AS THIS WAS A PRIVATE EVENT. THE TURKEY HUNT WAS VERY SUCCESSFUL WITH 20 BROTHERS ATTENDING. WE ATTEMPTED TO SCHEDULE A SPORTING CLAY SHOOT IN AUGUST AT QUAIL POINT IN CALIFORNIA BUT THAT WAS CANCELED DUE TO THE EXTREME FIRE SITUATION IN THE AREA. THE YEAR ENDED ON A HIGH NOTE WITH A CHRISTMAS DINNER IN ST. HELENA, CA WITH 45 ATTENDEES INCLUDING WIVES AND GUESTS. THE OVERWHELMING RESPONSE WAS "LET'S DO THIS AGAIN NEXT YEAR". THE TRADEMARK WORK CONTINUED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. WE SHOULD SEE THE RESULTS OF OUR EFFORTS TO FILE 9 TRADEMARKS IN 2022. DURING THE LAST WEEK OF 2021 THE BOSH MANAGEMENT DECIDED TO MOVE THE 2022 SPRING INVESTITURE TO RENO, NV FROM SEATTLE, WA DUE TO THE STRINGENT COVID-19 MASK AND VACCINE MANDATES IN PLACE IN SEATTLE. WE ENDED THE YEAR IN A STRONG FINANCIAL POSITION WITH CASH IN THE BANK.
