THE IOWA SHRM COUNCIL WAS FORMED TO PROMOTE AND PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO THE THIRTEEN (13) AFFILIATE CHAPTERS OF THE SOCIETY FOR HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT (SHRM) LOCATED WITHIN THE STATE OF IOWA. THE PRIMARY ACTIVITIES OF THE IOWA SHRM COUNCIL INCLUDES THE PLANNING, PROMOTION, COORDINATION, AND HOSTING OF TWO (2) ANNUAL CONFERENCES: THE IOWA SHRM STATE CONFERENCE AND THE IOWA SHRM STATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE. EACH CONFERENCE IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE EDUCATION ON AND AWARENESS OF THE VARIOUS ISSUES FACING HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONALS. IN ADDITION TO THE STATE CONFERENCES, THE IOWA SHRM COUNCIL SUPPORTS STUDENTS INTERESTED IN THE FIELD OF HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT THROUGH ITS PARTICIPATION IN THE ANNUAL NATIONAL STUDENT HUMAN RESOURCE CONFERENCE.
