HENNEPIN SCHOOLS' PRIMARY MISSION IS TO PROVIDE ALL OF ITS STUDENTS WITH THE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND CHARACTER TO GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL, AND THE CONFIDENCE TO CONTINUE ON AND SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THEIR POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION. HENNEPIN SCHOOLS PREPARES ITS GRADUATES TO LIVE THOUGHTFUL AND PURPOSEFUL LIVES EQUIPPED WITH THE TOOLS TO ENGAGE SUCCESSFULLY IN THEIR OWN "PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS," THEREBY CONTRIBUTING GREATLY TO THE GOOD OF THEIR COMMUNITIES AND THEIR FAMILIES. ALL STUDENTS LEARN THE ACADEMIC AND PERSONAL SKILLS THEY NEED TO SUCCEED IN HIGHER EDUCATION, COMPETE IN A GLOBAL ECONOMY, AND PURSUE THEIR DREAMS.

HENNEPIN SCHOOLS COMPLETED ITS TENTH YEAR SERVING STUDENTS ON JUNE 30, 2022. HENNEPIN SCHOOLS SERVED 370 IN GRADES K-8. THE SCHOOL SERVES A WIDE RANGE OF DIVERSE FAMILIES FROM MIDDLE CLASS TO LOW SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS. WE ARE 97% FREE AND REDUCED PRICE LUNCH AND 53% ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS. THE RACIAL/ETHNIC DEMOGRAPHICS ARE AS FOLLOWS: 89% BLACK, 10% LATINO, AND 1% WHITE, AS PER THE MDE WEBSITE.
