THE FOUNDATION IS A RESOURCE AND CLEARING HOUSE FOR CHILDREN, TEEN, YOUNG ADULTS, AND ADULTS WITH TYPE 1 DIABETES AND THE PEOPLE WHO SHARE THEIR LIVES. THE FOUNDATION HOSTS AN ANNUAL ONE-OF-A-KIND BASKETBALL CAMP FOR CHILDREN WITH TYPE 1 DIABETES FROM AROUND THE WORLD TO TEACH ALL PARTICIPANTS HOW TO MANAGE THEIR DIABETES WHILE PLAYING AN INTENSIVE SPORT. THE FOUNDATION ALSO HOSTS AN ANNUAL 3-ON-3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT TO PROVIDE DIABETES EDUCATION TO THOSE PARTICIPATING AND VIEWING. THE FOUNDATION BRINGS DIABETES ORGANIZATIONS TO THE EVENT TO SHARE AND EDUCATE. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES DIABETES TESTING KITS TO THE HOMELESS AND LOW-INCOME SECTOR TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE WITH DIABETES TO TEST THEIR BLOOD SUGAR AND PROVIDE PROPER TREATMENT. ADDITIONALLY, THE FOUNDATION CONDUCTS SEMINARS ABOUT DIABETES TO EDUCATION, INSPIRE, AND MOTIVATE YOUNG PEOPLE BATTLING DIABETES, INCLUDING PERSONS WHO ARE INTERESTED IN THE WELFARE OF THOSE YOUNG ADULTS.
