THE FIRST KIM CONFERENCE, NATIONAL CHILD PASSENGER SAFETY CONFERENCE, WAS HELD ON AUGUST 4-6, 2005 IN ORLANDO WITH 133 ATTENDEES, FOLLOWED BY A SECOND CONFERENCE AT THE SAME LOCATION ON AUGUST 9-11, 2006 WITH 116 ATTENDEES. THE 2007 AND 2008 CONFERENCES WERE HELD AT THE SHERATON DENVER HOTEL (FORMERLY ADAM'S MARK HOTEL) ON AUGUST 2-4, 2007 AND JULY 10-12, 2008, WITH 150 AND 261 ATTENDEES RESPECTIVELY. THE 2009 AND 2010 CONFERENCES WERE HELD AT THE OMNI FORT WORTH HOTEL IN FORT WORTH, TX ON AUGUST 29-31, 2009 AND AUGUST 26-28, 2010, WITH 196 AND 239 ATTENDEES RESPECTIVELY. KIM 2017 WAS HELD ON AUGUST 31- SEPTEMBER 2, 2017 AT THE OMNI INTERLOCKEN RESORT IN BROOMFIELD, CO WITH 301 ATTENDEES. KIM 2018 WAS HELD ON AUGUST 30-SEPTEMBER 1, 2018 AT THE OMNI INTERLOCKEN RESORT IN BROOMFIELD, CO WITH 307 ATTENDEES. A NEONATAL INTENSEIVE CARE UNIT (NICU) PRE-CONFERENCE WAS PROVIDED IN 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, AND 2011. ATTENDANCE FOR THIS PRE-CONFERENCE WAS 70 IN 2007, 112 IN 2008, 83 IN 2009, 74 IN 2010, AND 49 IN 2011. ONE FULL DAY PRE-CONFERENCE, NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY'S SCHOOL BUS TRAINING WAS ATTENDED BY 40 IN 2010 AND 10 IN 2011. TWO HALF-DAY PRE-CONFERENCE SESSIONS WERE HELD ON AUGUST 15, 2012, ONE ON SPECIALIZED CHILD RESTRAINTS AND THE SECOND ON ANGLE TOLERANCE TESTING PROCEDURES, WITH 33 AND 45 ATTENDING RESPECTIVELY. THREE PRE-CONFERENCES WERE HELD ON AUGUST 26, 2013, HOSPITAL BASED CHILD PASSENGER SAFETY, SCHOOL BUS, SAFETY 4 SALE - SAFETY STORE APPROACH, AND LEADERSHIP ENRICHMENT WITH 44, 18 AND 19 ATTENDING RESPECTIVELY. THREE PRE-CONFERENCES WERE HELD ON AUGUST 25, 2014, THE TECHNICIAN'S TOOLKIT, CPS PHYSICS 101: BEYOND BASIC CRASH DYNAMICS, AND CPS MED SCHOOL 101: WHAT EVERY CHILD PASSENGER SAFETY TECHNICIAN WANTS TO KNOW ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN PRE-CONFERENCES WITH 24, 42, AND 28 ATTENDING RESPECTIVELY. TWO PRE-CONFERENCES WERE HELD ON AUGUST 12, 2015, KNOWING HOW TO KNOW WHAT WE KNOW: DEMYSTIFYING THE SCIENCE OF CHILD PASSENGER SAFETY AND TECHNICIAN TOOL KIT WITH 37 AND 41 ATTENDING RESPECTIVELY.
