TO PROPAGATE THE PROCESS OF KRISHNA-CONSCIOUSNESS (GOD-CONSCIOUSNESS) AND DEVOTIONAL SERVICE TO KRISHNA AS TAUGHT IN THE ANCIENT VEDIC SCRIPTURES OF INDIA (SUCH AS BHAGAVAD-GITA, SRIMAD-BHAGAVATAM, ETC.) THROUGH VARIOUS PUBLIC OUTREACH PROGRAMS.

WE PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN PLACES OF WORSHIP FOR THE OVERALL BENEFIT OF STUDENTS, THE PUBLIC AND SINCERE SEEKERS. AT OUR CENTERS IN SOQUEL AND SAN JOSE CALIFORNIA, WE CONDUCT DAILY EDUCATIONAL CLASSES AND LECTURES FROM THE VEDIC SCRIPTURES ON THE SCIENCE OF SELF-REALIZATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TENETS OF LORD SRI CHAITANYA MAHAPRABHU. WE ALSO CONDUCT DAILY THE CONGREGATIONAL CHANTING OF THE HOLY NAMES OF GOD, ESPECIALLY THE MAHA-MANTRA (THE GREATEST PRAYER): HARE KRISHNA, HARE KRISHNA, KRISHNA KRISHNA, HARE HARE, HARE RAMA, HARE RAMA, RAMA RAMA, HARE HARE.
WE CONDUCT PROGRAMS IN PUBLIC PARKS, COLLEGES, UNIVERSITIES AND INFORMATION BOOTHS TO TEACH HOW THE PRINCIPLES OF GOD-CONSCIOUSNESS MAY BE APPLIED TO MODERN-DAY SOCIETY. WE VISIT INTERESTED PEOPLE IN THEIR HOMES BOTH LOCALLY AND THROUGHOUT NORTH AMERICA. IN ORDER TO ASSIST IN OUR MISSION TO EDUCATE INTERESTED PERSONS, WE HAVE DEVELOPED TWO WEB SITES: WWW.SEVAASHRAM.NET AND WWW.SEVAASHRAM.COMBOTH OF THESE SITES PROVIDE EXTENSIVE ARTICLES, AUDIO LECTURES, VIDEOS, PHOTOGRAPHS AND OTHER RESOURCES TO HELP TEACH BOTH OUR PHILOSOPHY AND HOW TO APPLY IT TO OUR DAILY LIVES.
WE DISTRIBUTE TO EVERYONE, SANCTIFIED VEGETARIAN MEALS THAT HAVE BEEN OFFERED TO THE DEITIES OF LORD KRISHNA. EACH DAY AT BOTH OF OUR CENTERS WE DISTRIBUTE FREE VEGETARIAN MEALS TO ALL THOSE WHO COME TO THE CENTER. EVERYONE IS WELCOME WITHOUT CHARGE FOR BREAKFAST, LUNCH OR DINNER. WE TAKE PREPARED FOOD TO VARIOUS LOCAL SHELTERS FOR FREE DISTRIBUTION TO THE CLIENTS OF THOSE SHELTERS. AT OUR ANNUAL CHRISTMAS DINNER WE FED OVER 500 PEOPLE AND DISTRIBUTED TOYS TO OVER 250 CHILDREN. MANY LOCAL BUSINESSES, INCLUDING TOYS FOR TOTS ASSIST US WITH DONATIONS OF TOYS AND FOOD.
WE PUBLISH AND DISTRIBUTE LITERATURE BY OUR TEACHERS AND THE SACRED BOOKS OF INDIA.WE GIVE SPECIFIC ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS WHO LIVE AS PRIESTS, MONKS, NUNS AND STUDENTS IN A RENOUNCED ENVIRONMENT. THEY HAVE DEDICATED THEIR LIVES TO THE CULTIVATION OF THEIR SPIRITUAL CONSCIOUSNESS. WE ASSIST WITH SOME TRAVEL EXPENSES: PILGRIMAGE TO INDIA AND FOR OUR TEACHERS TO TRAVEL TO OTHER CENTERS TO ASSIST THOSE MEMBERS WITH THEIR SPIRITUAL LIVES.WE MAKE GRANTS FOR OUR MISSIONARY ACTIVITIES IN INDIA THAT HELP SUPPORT RELIGIOUS PILGRIMS WHO VISIT AND HELP SUPPORT THEIR CHARITABLE AND RELIGIOUS PROGRAMS.
