THE ASSOCIATION MONITORS PROPOSED LEGISLATION AND LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITY THAT COULD AFFECT CHILDREN'S HOSPITALS AND THE FUNDING OF CHILDREN'S HEALTH CARE IN TEXAS. IN ADDITION THE ASSOCIATION MONITORS CHANGES IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF BENEFIT PROGRAMS BY FEDERAL AND STATE AGENCIES THAT AFFECT CHILDREN'S HEALTH ISSUES.
THE ASSOCIATION PARTICIPATED IN COALITIONS SUCH AS THE CHILDREN'S HEALTH CARE COALITION.
THE ASSOCIATION PERFORMS RESEARCH TO BENEFIT THE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL INDUSTRY BY ADVOCATING FOR SOUND PUBLIC HEALTH POLICIES AS THE FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE AGAINST PREVENTABLE INJURY, DISEASE AND DISABILITY.
