ADENA HEALTH FOUNDATION PROVIDES SUPPORT TO ADENA HEALTH SYSTEM AND THE TWO CRITICAL ACCESS HOSPITALS CONTROLLED BY ADENA HEALTH SYSTEM. IN 2023, ADENA HEALTH FOUNDATION PROVIDED $768,570 TO ADENA HEALTH SYSTEM. THE FOUNDATION ALSO SUPPORTS AREA NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AS WELL AS INDIVIDUALS IN THE HOSPITALS SERVICE AREA. THE AID TO INDIVIDUALS IS IN THE FORM OF EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS AND HELP WITH BASIC UNMET NEEDS INCLUDING FOOD, TRANSPORTATION, AND UTILITIES. AHF CONTRIBUTED $165,212 TO INDIVIDUALS IN 2023.

THROUGH INDIVIDUAL GIVING AND FUNDRAISING EVENTS TO AND FOR SELECTED FUNDS, WE WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE $768,570 TO ADENA HEALTH SYSTEM IN SUPPORT OF PATIENT AND STAFF EDUCATION, COMMUNITY EDUCATION, EQUIPMENT, CAPITAL PROJECT, AND CHARITY CARE.
THE FOUNDATION AWARDED SCHOLARSHIPS TO 19 STUDENTS. THE FIELDS OF STUDY INCLUDED NURSING, RADIOLOGY, TECHNOLOGY, PHYSICAL THERAPY, PRE-MED AND LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY. THE STUDENTS WERE SELECTED BY THE VOLUNTEER ADVISORY COUNCIL WITH OVERSIGHT FROM HUMAN RESOURCES. EACH STUDENT MUST SUBMIT AN APPLICATION. APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AT LEAST A 3.30 GRADE POINT AVERAGE TO BE ELIGIBLE. THERE WERE ALSO 2 ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED. THE STUDENTS WERE SELECTED BY THE SPORTS MEDICINE SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE WITH MEMBERS FROM THE DEPARTMENT AND A FOUNDATION REPRESENTIVE. EACH STUDENT MUST SUBMIT AN APPLICATION. APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AT LEAST A 3.0 GRADE POINT AVERAGE TO BE ELIBLE
THE COMMUNITY FUND IS USED TO SUPPORT OTHER NON-PROFITS IN THE COMMUNITIES WE SERVE. WE SUPPORT THOSE WHO HAVE SIMILAR MISSIONS AND VALUES OF ADENA WITH A FOCUS ON BETTERING THE COMMUNITIES, ENHANCING GROWTH IN AREAS WE SERVE AND SUPPORTING HEALTH AND WELL-BEING INITIATIVES. A COMMITTEE CONSISTING OF MARKETING, COMMUNITY, AND FOUNDATION CAREGIVERS REVIEWS REQUESTS AND DECIDES IF THE REQUEST IS WITHIN OUR MISSION AND VALUES AND WHICH GROUPS ADENA WILL BE SUPPORTING IF THE CRITERIA IS MET.
