ADENA HEALTH FOUNDATION PROVIDES SUPPORT TO ADENA HEALTH SYSTEM AND THE TWO CRITICAL ACCESS HOSPITALS CONTROLLED BY ADENA HEALTH SYSTEM. IN 2021, ADENA HEALTH FOUNDATION PROVIDED $384,211 TO ADENA HEALTH SYSTEM. THE FOUNDATION ALSO SUPPORTS AREA NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AS WELL AS INDIVIDUALS IN THE HOSPITALS SERVICE AREA. THE AID TO INDIVIDUALS IS IN THE FORM OF EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS AND HELP WITH BASIC UNMET NEEDS INCLUDING FOOD, TRANSPORTATION, AND UTILITIES TOTALED $31,944.

THROUGH INDIVIDUAL GIVING AND FUNDRAISING EVENTS TO AND FOR SELECTED FUNDS, WE WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE $384,211 TO ADENA HEALTH SYSTEM IN SUPPORT OF PATIENT AND STAFF EDUCATION, COMMUNITY EDUCATION, EQUIPMENT, CAPITAL PROJECT, AND CHARITY CARE.
THE FOUNDATION AWARDED ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS TO 2 STUDENTS. THE STUDENTS WERE SELECTED BY THE SPORTS MEDICINE SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE WITH MEMEBERS FROM THE DEPARTMENT AND A FOUNDATION REPRESENTATIVE. EACH STUDENT MUST SUBMIT AN APPLICATION. APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AT LEAST A 3.00 GRADE POINT AVERAGE TO BE ELIGIBLE.
THE HOSPICE FUND WAS USED TO PROVIDE MEDICAL CARE, HOME HEALTH NEEDS, BEREAVEMENT COUNSELING, PRESCRIPTIONS, FOOD AND SHELTER NEEDS TO 377 QUALIFIED PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES.
