TEXAS "J" REGIONAL ADVISORY COUNCIL IS COMPRISED OF HEALTHCARE ENTITIES WHITHIN 17 TEXAS COUNTIES. THE ORGANIZATION IS CHARTERED BY THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH BUREAU OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT TO DEVELOP, IMPLEMENT, AND MONITOR REGIONAL EMERGENCEY SERVICES OR TRAUMA SYSTEM PLANS FOR TRAUMA SERVICE AREA "J; AND TO OVERSEE TRAUMA SYSTEM NETWORKING. PARTICIPANTS IN THE ORGANIZATION ARE HOSPITALS, PHYSICIANS, NURSES, EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND OTHER INDIVIDUALS INTERESTED IN TRUAMA CARE LOCATED, PROVIDING SERVICES, OR RESIDING IN TRAUMA SERVICES AREA "J" WHICH/WHO ALSO SATISFIES OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF PARTICIPATION.

INJURY PREVENTION, EDUCATION, SUPPLY ASSISTANCE BY MAINTAINING A REGIONAL TRAUMA SYSTEM SERVING 17 TEXAS COUNTIES. PROVIDING TRAINING, EQUIPMENT AND OTHER SUPPORT TO FIRE AND EMS UNITS AND AREA HOSPITALS. THE TEXAS "J" REGIONAL ADVISORY COUNCIL SHALL ENCOURAGE AND SUPPORT A COMPREHENSIVE CONTINUUM OF QUALITY HEALTH CARE TO BE PROVIDED FOR ALL PATIENTS IN THE TRAUMA SERVICE AREA "J"
