AWARD GRANTS FOR ADMINISTRATORS' COMPENSATION.
STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS. THE SCHOLARSHIP PROCESS IS ADMINISTERED BY THE FOUNDATION VOLUNTEERS WITH SIGNIFICANT INPUT FROM THE DENISON HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELORS. THE INDIVIDUAL STUDENT RECIPIENTS ARE SELECTED BY VOLUNTEERS WHO ARE ACTING INDEPENDENTLY AND WITHOUT CONFLICT OF INTEREST.
INNOVATIVE TEACHING GRANTS TO FUND EXPENDITURES NOT COVERED BY THE DISD BUDGET. TEACHERS APPLY FOR GRANTS TO FUND ENHANCEMENTS TO THEIR INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS AND CAPABILITIES. THE GRANTS AWARDS ARE REVIEWED BY A COMMITTEE OF VOLUNTEERS WHO DETERMINE WHICH GRANTS TO FUND. THE GRANT AWARDS PROECSS IS ACCOMPLISHED WITHOUT THE VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE MEMBERS KNOWING THE IDENTITY OF THE TEACHERS WHO SUBMITTED THE GRANT APPLICATIONS.
