LIBRARY SUPPORT: THE FORT WORTH PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION RAISES PRIVATE FUNDS TO SUPPLEMENT PUBLIC FUNDING OF THE FORT WORTH PUBLIC LIBRARY. DIVERSIFYING PRIVATE DONATIONS SUPPORT CAPITAL PROJECTS, TECHNOLOGY UPGRADES, AND CRITICAL PROGRAMS AND SERVICES AVAILABLE TO FORT WORTHIANS OF ALL AGES AND DEMOGRAPHICS.
COMMUNITY PROGRAMS: THE FORT WORTH PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION PRODUCES TWO OF ITS OWN EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: LAUNCHPAD AND THE CHILDRENS AUTHOR SERIES. LAUNCHPAD SUPPORTS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS THROUGH FREE PROFESSIONAL ASSISTANCE ON THE COLLEGE APPLICATION PROCESS, INCLUDING HELP WITH ESSAY WRITING AND COLLEGE SELECTION. THE CHILDRENS AUTHOR SERIES ENGAGES RENOWNED AUTHORS AND ILLUSTRATORS TO GIVE PRESENTATIONS AT UNDERSERVED SCHOOLS IN FORT WORTH.
