ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE FOR ADULTS PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH 30 WEEKS OF FREE ESL INSTRUCTION, OFFERED AT 10 DIFFERENT LEVELS, WHICH COVERS VOCABULARY, GRAMMAR, AND WRITING PROFICIENCY. RALC PROVIDES TEXTBOOKS, CURRICULUM, AND TEACHERS TRAINED AND SUPPORTED BY RALC STAFF. THERE ARE 500-600 STUDENTS ANNUALLY.
THE CAREER BRIDGE PROGRAM IS FOR ADULTS WHO ARE READY TO ENTER THE UNITED STATES WORKFORCE. RALC STAFF AND MENTORS ASSIST STUDENTS TO SELECT A CAREER PATH, PREPARE FOR BRIDGE TO HIGHER LEARNING, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, OR VOCATIONAL TRAINING. PARTICIPANTS ACQUIRE SKILLS SUCH AS BUILDING A RESUME, DRAFTING A PROFESSIONAL EMAIL, INTERVIEWING IN ENGLISH, USING WORD PROCESSING SOFTWARE, APPLYING FOR JOBS ONLINE, BUDGETING, AND WORKFORCE NORMS.
