THE LONE STAR CHAPTER OF PARALYZED VETERANS OF AMERICA IS DEDICATED TO TAKING THOSE ACTIONS NECESSARY TO RESTORE SPINAL COARD INJURED OR DECEASED VETERANS' BODIES AND LIFE POTENTIALS AS CLOSELY AS IS HUMANLY POSSIBLE TO THOSE AMERICANS NOT SUFFERING SPINAL CORD DYSFUNCTION.

SPORTS AND RECREASTION ACHIEVEMENTS: PROVIDING NUMEROUS PROGRAMS (FISHING, SKIING, SPORTING, ETC.) TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF PARALYZED VETERANS AND OTHER PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES BY EXPANDING BOTH THE QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF OPPORTUNITIES IN SPORTS AND RECREATION, SPONSORING OUTINGS THAT BRING MEMBERS TOGETHER IN A FAMILY SETTING, PROMOTING MEMBER PARTICIPATION IN ANNUAL PVA GAMES.
MEMBERSHIP ACTIVITIES: PROVIDING MEALS TO MEMBERS, INPATIENTS, AND SCI STAFF AT VA HOSPITALS, HOSTING MEMBER EVENTS , SUPPORTING PATIENT RECOVERY AND REHABILITATIONS THROUGH VA HOSPITALS, PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE AND GRANTS TO MEMBERS AND PARAPLEGICS SEEKING IMPROVED ACCESS AND INDEPENDENCE.
