SUPPORTS PUPPETEERS AND ADVANCES THE ART OF PUPPETRY BY PRESENTING KNOWLEDGE, PROVIDING INSPIRATION AND PROMOTING PRESERVATION, THROUGH FESTIVALS AND OTHER EVENTS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND MEMBERSHIP. PUBLISHES THE PUPPETRY JOURNAL (DOCUMENTING AMERICAN PUPPETRY SINCE 1949) AND DISTRIBUTES QUARTERLY TO MEMBERS AND LIBRARIES. ALSO PROVIDES A WEBSITE AND ROBUST ONLINE RESOURCES TO KEEP MEMBERS AND THE PUBLIC CONNECTED. PRESENTS A BIENNIAL NATIONAL PUPPETRY FESTIVAL WHICH OFFERS EDUCATION, SKILL BUILDING WORKSHOPS, PERFORMANCES, EXHIBITS, AND COMMUNITY TO ITS MEMBERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
