TO INCREASE SELF-EFFICACY, IMPROVE THE OVERALL QUALITY OF LIFE FOR PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES LIVING WITH SICKLE CELL AND THALASSEMIA WITHIN THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA, THROUGH SYSTEMIC CHANGES IN PATIENT CARE, DISABILITY POLICIES, EDUCATION, FAMILY SUPPORT, ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY, AWARENESS AND ADVOCACY.

OHCA PROGRAM: INCREASE THE KNOWLEDGE, AWARENESS, ADVOCACY, AND SUPPORT FOR THE PEOPLE LIVING WITH CHRONIC HEALTH CONDITIONS IN UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES IN OKLAHOMA. SUPPORTERS OF FAMILIES WITH SICKLE CELL DISEASE HAVE PROVIDED KNOWLEDGE AND AWARENESS THROUGH THE MANY OUTREACH PROGRAMES HELD EACH YEAR PROVIDING INFORMATION TO MORE THAN FOUR THOUSAND FIVE HUNDREAD PARTICIPATIONS WHO HAVE ATTENDED THE DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES HELD EACH YEAR. OUR GOAL IS TO INCREASE OUR REACH BY 10 % OVER NEXT FEW YEARS.
SCH HRSA PROGRAM: COLLECT DATA, PROVIDED KNOWLEDGE, AWARENESS AND ADVOCACY FOR FAMILIES LIVING WITH SICKLE CELL DISEASE. WE HAVE SECURED FUNDING FROM HRSA TO COLLECT DATA, AND PROVIDED KNOWLEDGE AND AWARENESS FOR FAMILIES LIVING WITH SICKLE CELL DISEASE. TO DATE WE HAVE MET OUR GOALS SET FORTH IN THE AGREEMENT AND WILL SURPASS EXPECTED PROJECTIONS BY 8%
COVID-19 PROGRAM WAS EXTABLISHED TO INCREASE EDUCATION ABOUT COVID-19 ANDALSO TO INCREASE THE VACCINATION COUNT AMONG MINORITY AND CITIZENS IN THE RURAL AREAS. THE PROGRAM WAS VERY SUCCESSFUL. CURRENTLY WE ARE ON TARGET TO EXCEED OUR GOAL BY 15%
