Part 3
KLCEI PROVIDED CLASSES COVERING LANGUAGE, HISTORY, ART, MUSIC AND FOOD IN ITS CURRICULUM THAT CURRENTLY ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF OUR STUDENTS. WE UTILIZE KOREAN BOOKS, TAPES, VIDEOS, INTERNET, ART AND MUSIC AS SOME OF OUR TOOLS. STUDENTS RANGE FROM PRESCHOOL TO ADULTS. THIS FISCAL YEAR WE PARTICIPATED IN THE ART AND LANGUAGE COMPETITION WITH REGIONAL KOREAN SCHOOLS IN THE FALL. THIS COMPETITION ALLOWED STUDENTS TO SHOWCASE THEIR ABILITIES IN KOREAN WRITING AND ART AS WELL AS ALLOW STUDENTS AND PUBLIC TO CELEBRATE THE KOREAN HANGUL DAY (THE DAY THAT THE KOREAN LANGUAGE WAS FOUNDED). WE HELD A NUMBER OF EVENTS FOR STUDENTS, PARENTS AND TEACHERS TO GATHER TOGETHER TO SHOWCASE ABILITIES LEARNED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND FOSTER SOCIAL RELATIONSHIP BUILDING THROUGH SUCH THINGS AS CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY, KOREAN NEW YEARS AND FALL FESTIVAL CHUSEOK.
