THE NOB HILL BUSINESS ASSOCIATION SERVICES THE BUSINESSES AND BUSINESS OWNERS IN THE NOB HILL NEIGHBORHOOD IN NORTHWEST PORTLAND, OR. A MEMBERSHIP BASED BUSINESS ASSOCIATION, NHBA HOSTS NETWORKING EVENTS, NEIGHBORHOOD EVENTS, AND PROMOTES THE VIBRANCY OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD. SMALL BUSINESSES, LARGE COMPANIES, NON-PROFITS, RESTAURANT OWNERS, AND INDIVIDUALLY RUN BUSINESSES ALL MAKE UP THE BUSINESS ASSOCIATION. NHBA'S BOARD IS COMPRISED OF DIRECTORS THAT RUN OR ARE EMPLOYED BY BUSINESSES IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. NHBA'S FUNDS ARE MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH MEMBERSHIP DUES AND GRANT FUNDING. FISCAL YEAR 2015-16 AWARDED NHBA WITH 2 GRANTS; ONE TO HELP STRENGTHEN OUR ONLINE AND SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE, AND THE OTHER TO HOST A NEIGHBORHOOD-WIDE EVENT. PARTICIPANTS IN THE EVENT VISITED THE BUSINESSES AND WERE ENTERED TO WIN DOOR PRIZES AMOUNTING TO $500, ALL DONATED BY LOCAL BUSINESSES. THE EVENTS HOSTED BY NHBA BRING BUSINESS TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND ALSO ALLOW FOR NETWORKING AND PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AMONG BUSINESSES.
