THE DRIPPING SPRINGS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION (DSCF) PROVIDES A CENTRALIZED RESOURCE FOR BOTH DONORS AND LOCAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS BY ENCOURAGING AND FACILITATING PHILANTHROPIC GIFTS AND BY DELIVERING GRANTS, TRAINING, AND SUPPORT TO ORGANIZATIONS THAT PROVIDE NEEDED SERVICES TO THE RESIDENTS OF DRIPPING SPRINGS.
THE DRIPPING SPRINGS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION SERVES AS THE FISCAL SPONSOR OF THE DS SKATE PARK INITIATIVE. AS SUCH, DONATIONS TO THE SKATE PARK ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE UNDER THE UMBRELLA OF THE DSCF NON-PROFIT STATUS. IN TURN, DSCF ASSURES THAT EXPENDITURES ARE ALL RELATED TO MEETING THE GOAL OF BUILDING A SKATE PARK FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITY.
THE DRIPPING SPRINGS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION MAINTAINS THE GIRL SCOUT SCHOLARSHIP FUND,EVANS ENDOWMENT FUND AND VARIOUS DONOR ADVISED FUNDS AT AUSTIN COMMUNITYFOUNDATION(ACF), ANOTHER 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION. DSCF STILL HAS ADMINISTRATIVERIGHTS OVER THE FUNDS AND PAYS OUT SCHOLARSHIPS, GRANTS, AND OTHER EXPENSES BY REQUESTING ACF TO TRANSFER FUNDS BACK TO DSCF. DONATIONS TO ANY OF THE ACF HELD FUNDS ARE DEPOSITED BY DSCF AND THEN TRANSFERRED TO ACF.
