ARTESIA GENERAL HOSPITAL IS A 49-BED SOLE COMMUNITY HEALTH PROVIDER THAT SERVES ARTESIA SPECIAL HOSPITAL DISTRICT AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES (ARTESIA AND SOUTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO) PROVIDING GENERAL ACUTE CARE, CARDIOLOGY, PSYCHIATRIC, MEDICAL AND SURGICAL SERVICES INCLUDING OUTPATIENT AND EMERGENCY CARE SERVICES. DURING THE TAX YEAR, THE HOSPITAL HAD 1,351 ADMISSIONS, 2,217 PATIENT DAYS, 1,371 SURGERIES, 12,501 EMERGENCY ROOM VISITS, 20,393 OUTPATIENT DIAGNOSTIC VISITS AND 56,347 CLINIC VISITS.
