THE ORGANIZATION OWNS THE PLANTATION APARTMENTS, LOCATED AT 1401 ERIN STREET, MONROE, LA 71201. THE COMPLEX HAS 200 MULTIFAMILY UNITS THAT ARE LEASED TO PROVIDE LOW INCOME HOUSING TO THOSE INDIVIDUALS NEEDING PUBLIC HOUSING ASSISTANCE. THE PLANTATION APARTMENTS SOLD IN 2014. THE INCOME AND EXPENSES RELATED TO THIS ARE TO WIND UP THE PROGRAM.
SURPLUSES FROM ACTIVITIES WERE CONTRIBUTED TO FOUNDATION FOR AFFORDABLE RENTAL HOUSING HOLDINGS, INC. AND FOUNDATION FOR AFFORDABLE RENTAL HOUSING, INC. BOTH ARE 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS WITH A SHARED PURPOSE TO PROVIDE LOW INCOME HOUSING.
