THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO PROTECT THE PUBLIC'S HEALTH BY ADVANCING THE ELIMINATION OF TUBERCULOSIS IN THE U.S. THROUGH THE CONCERTED ACTION OF STATE, LOCAL, AND TERRITORIAL PROGRAMS.NTCA WAS CREATED IN 1995 TO BRING TOGETHER THE LEADERS OF TUBERCULOSIS CONTROL PROGRAMS IN ALL STATES AND TERRITORIES, AS WELL AS MANY COUNTIES AND CITY HEALTH DEPARTMENTS THAT ORGANIZE THEIR OWN TB CONTROL ACTIVITIES.

NTCA'S PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO SUPPORT THE EFFORTS AND ACTIVITIES OF DOMESTIC TB CONTROL PROGRAMS IN THE UNITED STATES AND THE US TERRITORIES. NTCA SERVES AS A LIAISON TO FACILITATE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE CDC DOMESTIC TB PROGRAM AND TB PROGRAMS, INCLUDING HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS WHO WORK WITHIN AND WITH THE TB PROGRAMS.THESE ARE FULLY EXPENDED TO SUPPORT STAFF, TRAVEL, CONSULTANTS, AND GENERAL OPERATING EXPENSES.
NATIONAL TB CONFERENCESTHESE ARE USED TO SUPPORT THE CONDUCT OF NATIONAL CONFERENCE, THE LARGEST AND MOST EXTENSIVE PROGRAM SERVICE PROVIDED BY NTCA AND REACHES BEYOND THE NTCA MEMBERSHIP.
MEMBERSHIPSTHESE REVENUES SUPPORT STAFF EFFORTS AND TRAVEL TO WASHINGTON TO EDUCATE ABOUT TB AND RAISE AWARENESS OF THE CHALLENGES WE FACE IN THE US IN ACHIEVING TB ELIMINATION. SOME OF THE REVENUE FROM THIS SOURCE SUPPORTS GENERAL OPERATING EXPENSES AND STAFF SALARIES.
