FOOD PANTRY AND SCHOOL SNACKS: THE CENTER PROVIDED 11,188 BAGS OF GROCERIES TO 1,998 HOUSEHOLDS, INCLUDING 120 NEW CLIENT HOUSEHOLDS. APPROXIMATELY 208 HOUSEHOLDS RECEIVED THANKSGIVING TURKEYS OR CHICKEN AND THE TRIMMINGS, AND 175 RECEIVED HOLIDAY HAMS. THE CENTER PROVIDED HOME DELIVERY OF GROCERIES TO 127 SENIOR AND NON-DRIVER HOUSEHOLDS.
EMERGENCY AID: APPROXIMATELY 389 HOUSEHOLDS RECEIVED FINANCIAL AID TO HELP PAY FOR UTILITIES, RENT, MEDICATION, MEDICAL SERVICES AND OTHER BILLS. ASSISTANCE INCLUDED FUNDING FOR HOUSEHOLDS AFFECTED BY COVID.
THRIFT STORE: OPERATED 4 DAYS A WEEK DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR TO HELP FUND BLANCO GOOD SAMARITAN'S MISSION AND OPERATING COSTS AND PROVIDE GOODS AT NO OR LOW COST TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN THE COMMUNITY.
