IN 2021 THE WELFARE RIGHTS ORGANIZATION CONDUCTED VIRTUAL COMMUNITY ORGANIZING AND TRAINING DUE TO THE COVID 19 VIRUS. WE ALSO CONDUCTED A TWENTY-FOUR-HOUR CRISIS LINE,9:00 AM -5:00 PM, DIRECT TELEPHONE CONTACT, 5:00 PM - 8:59 AM RECORDED TELEPHONE CONVERSATIONS. THE CRISIS LINE ASSISTED CLIENTS IN NEED OF SOCIAL SERVICES. FROM OUR TWENTY-FOUR-HOUR CRISIS LINE WE PROVIDED NEEDED ASSISTANCE TO CLIENTS ACCORDING TO THEIR NEEDS AND RESOURCES AVAILABLE. THE WELFARE RIGHT ORGANIZATION ALSO HELD FITNESS CLASSES WITH SIX OR LESS PARTICIPANTS DUE TO COVID 19. PARTICIPANTS WERE TAUGHT STRESS RELEASE, FOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH AND EXERCISE CLASSES TO PREVENT STROKES, STRESS AND HEART ATTACKS.
IN AUGUST OF 2021, THE WELFARE RIGHTS ORGANIZATION CONDUCTED A FIVE-DAY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP WITH OTHER LOCAL AND NATIONAL COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS.
