THE SOUTHERN UTE CULTURAL CENTER AND MUSEUM HAS CONTINUED THE "FRIENDS OF THE MUSEUM" INCENTIVE PROGRAM TO INVITE VISITORS TO THE MUSEUM. EACH PARTICIPATING VISITOR WILL BE GIVEN A CARD AND EACH TIME THEY RETURN TO VISIT, THEY RECEIVE A 'PUNCH' ON THEIR CARD. FOR 3 PUNCHES THEY RECEIVE A LIP BALM WITH MUSEUM LOGO, 6 PUNCHES - MAGNET AND STYLUS PEN WITH MUSEUM LOGO, 9 PUNCHES - ENTRY FOR OUR ONE OF A KIND PENDLETON LOGO BLANKET DRAWING THAT WILL BE HELD AT THE END OF THE YEAR IN DECEMBER AND A MUSEUM T-SHIRT AND POTTERY PIECE. WE ARE ALSO PROMOTING A "TELL ME A STORY" PROJECT AND INVITING COMMUNITY ELDERS TO COME TO THE MUSEUM AND SHARE THEIR STORIES WITH US. WE ARE VIDEOTAPING EACH SESSION AND WILL PLACE THE VIDEOS IN OUR ARCHIVES FOR POSTERITY OR RESEARCH. ANOTHER PROJECT THAT WE ARE PROMOTING IS CALLED "IT'S A FAMILY THING" - FOR THIS PROJECT, WE ARE FEATURING THE ARTWORK FROM OUR COLLECTIONS. THESE BEAUTIFUL ART PIECES WERE CREATED BY SOUTHERN UTE MEMBERS AND FAMILY THAT WERE DONATED TO THE MUSEUM AND IN SOME CASES HAVE NEVER BEEN ON DISPLAY.
