IN 2021, WESTSIDE CARES PROVIDED RENT ASSISTANCE FOR 368 HOUSEHOLDS; UTILITIES ASSISTANCE FOR 230 HOUSEHOLDS; GOODWILL VOUCHERS FOR 1020 INDIVIDUALS; PROVIDED FOUR DAYS OF FOOD FOR 19,762 PERSONS; PROVIDED ASSISTANCE IN OBTAINING 379 ID AND BIRTH CERTIFICATES; PAID FOR EYE EXAMS AND NEW PAIR OF PRESCRIPTION GLASSES FOR 98 PERSONS; PROVIDED PRESCRIPTION ASSISTANCE FOR 32 PERSONS; AND PROVIDED FILLED BACKPACKS TO 600 AREA SCHOOL CHILDREN. WESTSIDE CARES ALSO COORDINATED THE DISTRIBUTION OF 96 THANKSGIVING BASKETS, CHRISTMAS ENHANCEMENT FOR 62 FAMILIES AND 425 NURSE CONTACTS AS WELL AS PROVIDED A RESOURCE ROOM UTILIZED BY 4,000 NEIGHBORS.
