THE COMMUNITY COLLEGE CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION CTE STACKABLE CREDENTIALS EXPANSION AND DISSEMINATION INITIATIVE WILL BUILD ON PRIOR U. S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION SUPPORTED WORK INCREASING THE CAPACITY OF COMMUNITY AND TECHNICAL COLLEGES IN IMPROVING CTE CREDENTIAL ATTAINMENT RATES AMONG YOUTH AND ADULTS ENROLLED IN DEGREE PROGRAMS. THIS INITIATIVE SUPPORTED THE DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH QUALITY POSTSECONDARY CTE PROGRAMS THAT EMBED INDUSTRY-RECOGNIZED CERTIFICATIONS WITHIN THEIR TECHNICAL DEGREE PROGRAMS. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDED TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE ON DESIGNING AND IMPLEMENTING A STACKABLE CREDIENTIALS APPROACH TO CAREER PATHWAYS FOR COMMUNITY COLLEGE TEAMS FROM 10 STATES.
TEACHER TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM. INTRODUCING CONTEXTUAL TEACHING TECHNIQUES IN ORDER TO IMPROVE STUDENT LEARNING AND READINESS UPON GRADUATION. THE PROGRAMS ARE FUNDED BY CONTRACTS WITH EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND BUSINESSES IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC.
NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION AWARDS SUPPORTING CONTINUING TECHNICAL EDUCATION FOR EDUCATORS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. THE AWARDS ARE ENTITILED NECESSARY SKILLS NETWORK, THE FUTURE OF WORK AND PATHWAYS TO INNOVATION. HUNDREDS OF EDUATORS PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTIVITIES WHICH ENHANCE THEIR CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS.
