THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF PORTAGE COUNTY CONTINUES TO EXPAND ITS SERVICES TO CHILDREN OF PORTAGE COUNTY. THE CLUB CURRENTLY OPERATES 10 SITES THROUGHOUT PORTAGE COUNTY SERVING AN AVERAGE OF 400-500 YOUTH PER DAY DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR AND THE SUMMER MONTHS WITH ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP OF ABOUT 2,000 YOUTH. FOOD SERVICE CONTINUES TO BE OFFERED TO SERVE MORE MEALS TO MORE YOUTH DAILY. COUNSELING SERVICES, TEEN PROGRAMMING, YOUTHFORCE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMING, AND DELTA DENTAL SMILE CLUB ARE NEWER PROGRAMS THAT THE CLUB CONTINUES TO DEVELOP AND EXPAND. DAILY YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMING IS OFFERED THROUGH FIVE CORE AREAS: CHARACTER & LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, HEALTH & LIFE SKILLS, SPORTS, FITNESS & RECREATION, THE ARTS, AND EDUCATION & CAREER DEVELOPMENT.
