SINCE 1977, OKLAHOMA YOUTH ORCHESTRAS HAS PROVIDED A CHALLENGING AND EXCITING ENSEMBLE EXPERIENCE TO STUDENTS FROM ALL OVER CENTRAL AND WESTERN OKLAHOMA. NOW WITH 400 STUDENTS IN GRADES 3 THROUGH 12 IN TWELVE ENSEMBLES AND PROGRAMS INCLUDING STRING ORCHESTRAS, FULL ORCHESTRAS, A WIND ENSEMBLE AND A SUMMER CAMP, OKLAHOMA YOUTH ORCHESTRA BRINGS TOGETHER OUTSTANDING STUDENTS TO MAKE AMAZING MUSIC.

PROVIDED WEEKLY MUSIC INSTRUCTION AND INSPIRATION TO 350 STRING, WOODWIND, BRASS AND PERCUSSION STUDENTS AGES 8 TO 18 FROM SEPTEMBER THROUGH MAY THROUGH 12 ENSEMBLES, PLUS 60 MIDDLE SCHOOL AGED STRING STUDENTS AT SUMMER CAMP IN JUNE. PRESENTED SIX CONCERTS AND PERFORMANCES THROUGHOUT CENTRAL OKLAHOMA. STUDENTS IN OUR TOP ENSEMBLE RECEIVED OVER 70 HOURS OF DIRECT MUSIC EDUCATION AND INSPIRATION. ONE NEW WIND ENSEMBLE WAS LAUNCHED FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL BAND STUDENTS.
