SERVING AS A LINK BETWEEN LOUISIANA TECH UNIVERSITY, A STATE SUPPORTED SCHOOL, AND ITS ALUMNI AND FRIENDS THROUGH SOLICITING MEMBERS (NUMBER OF MEMBERS: 1,379). ALUMNI AND FRIENDS ARE INFORMED OF CURRENT EVENTS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY THROUGH NEWSLETTERS, LOCAL CHAPTER MEETINGS, AND OTHER GATHERINGS. THE ORANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES MONIES TO THE UNIVERSITY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS TO CHILDREN OF ALUMNI AND MONIES FOR OTHER UNIVERSITY NEEDS.
