WAS (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O) ESTABLISHED TO STRENGTHEN ITS MEMBER HOSPITALS IN THE NEW ORLEANS METROPOLITAN AREA BY PROVIDING A FORUM FOR ATTAINING COMMON GOALS, BY SUPPORTING THE PROVISION OF EFFICIENT, QUALITY HEALTHCARE, AND BY SERVING AS THE RECOGNIZED SOURCE OF INFORMATION FOR THE HOSPITAL INDUSTRY AND ITS VARIOUS PUBLICS. THE COUNCIL REPRESENTS MEMBER HOSPITALS TO HEALTH ORGANIZATIONS, REGULATORY AGENCIES, BUSINESS GROUPS AND THE MEDIA.
